About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our Head Office team. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our business buys the right product, for the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Sourcing: Plan and source the most commercial and fashionable ranges that meet our business needs, ensuring the right delivery date and price has been agreed to maximize profit.
  • Supplier Management: Manage and develop relationships with current suppliers, measuring their performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and working with them to improve their offerings.
  • Range Development: Develop and present ranges for sign-off to senior management and the wider business teams, justifying decisions made and demonstrating conviction in the produced range.
  • Trade and Planning: Manage the development and bulk process within an agreed critical path, ensuring that all key touch points with the wider company are met to ensure that deliveries are on schedule.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop a team of junior buyers, providing training and support to ensure their success.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the clothing industry and trading environments.
  • Skills: Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make important decisions and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of relevant garment products, fabrics, and constructions, as well as presentation, organizational, and team management skills.
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as fashion or business.
