Lead Mechanical Engineer – Military Vehicle Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at NP Aerospace. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of military vehicle systems.
Your primary focus will be on supporting the Core Engineering requirements for all military vehicles under PDS Core Contracts. You will work closely with the Programme Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging and complex engineering projects, and to contribute to the growth and development of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and integration of military vehicle systems
- Support the Core programme manager in maintaining all contract KPIs
- Maintain all NPA/customer deliverable metrics and provide regular reports
- Present metrics to the customer at monthly project meetings
- Provide support to Non Core Tasking (NCT) work as required
- Liaise with Principal Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Strong engineering background with ability to communicate with external customers
- Knowledge and understanding of design processes
- Ability to work to scheduled delivery deadlines
- Experience in mechanical and/or electro-mechanical platform system architecture
- Understanding of engineering drawings and design standards
- Familiarity with configuration control and change management
