About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage transactional purchase orders against demand, utilizing shared forecasting information to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring shared processes are relevant and effective.
  • Ensure Business Central is maintained with accurate and up-to-date information, facilitating efficient procurement processes.
  • Source new parts as required, gathering necessary information including price, supplier, full description, and lead time.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through negotiation and sourcing against set objectives.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to review the overall value offered by existing suppliers, ensuring our purchasing remains competitive.
  • Assist in managing information between the business and our third-party logistics company.
  • Review compliance of all supply chain documentation, including subcontractors and consultants.
  • Ensure purchasing administration teams' business targets/KPIs are met.
  • Run, create, and interrogate various daily and monthly reports, attending meetings as necessary.
  • Manage the process of returned items.
  • Provide administrative support to other functions within the Supply Chain as required during times of peak loading.
  • Ensure office procedures and working practices are followed, regularly reviewing and updating as necessary in accordance with the Quality Management System.
  • Assist with the upkeep of the warehouse/storage area, moving boxes, recycling, and light lifting/shifting of boxes.
  • Help manage, maintain, and promote different accreditations, including BSI, BAFE, and TSA.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient transfer of high-quality information and data.
  • Create monthly reports to support purchasing targets and KPIs.
