Job Title: Procurement Specialist (FTC)

Location: Hemel Hempstead and Milton Keynes (hybrid)

About the role:
We are looking for a Procurement Contract & Due Diligence Specialist to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis, who will be responsible for contracts administration and supplier due diligence including, but not limited to agreement preparation, negotiations, and audit compliance. You will support the Subcontracts and Procurement Manager with the development, implementation, and ongoing management of Subcontracts Agreements at a local, regional level.

This is an interesting role which could be the perfect opportunity for someone to develop their career or fresh graduates with good enthusiasm who are looking for their first opportunity within Procurement.

This role is full time and involves 1 day per week attending our labs in Hemel Hempstead, with the flexibility to also collaborate with the team at our Milton Keynes offices as well.

Responsibilities include:

- Work with stakeholders to support new subcontract and lab partnerships agreement renewals and new agreement drafting.
- Support the negotiation of contracts with suppliers working with the legal function and the wider business.
- Assist in the maintenance and updating of contract details within the contract tracker / database.
- Support regional / local supplier management - onboarding, contracting / negotiations, performance management.
- Support the effective management of the agreed procurement portfolio within Subcontracts and lab operations support that will typically contain both ‘repetitive’ and ‘one off’ Subcontractors.
- Support work-streams and initiatives to ensure timely delivery of objectives, ensuring all necessary processes, including formal stakeholder approvals are completed.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

- Sound knowledge of procurement with the curiosity to learn more; previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to deliver a great end-to-end service and maintain relationship with key customers.
- Influencing and negotiation skills to ensure contractors pay agreements on time.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Basic skills in MS Excel.
