Key Responsibilities- Sales Performance: Meet or exceed agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, profit margins, and activity targets.
- Customer Relationship Management: Manage and retain a portfolio of existing customers at agreed sales and margin growth targets while developing new profitable clients.
- Account Development: Visit accounts on a scheduled basis, create, and deliver account development plans to drive sales growth.
- Market Intelligence: Gather intelligence on competitors and research new business opportunities to identify potential sales points.
- Sales Strategy: Develop strategic plans and sales strategies to win and develop new accounts, and prepare sales proposals using existing templates as required.
- Product Demonstration: Demonstrate company products to prospective customers and lead discussions on how the products solve their problems or meet their requirements.
- Reporting and CRM: Produce required reports in a timely manner and ensure the CRM system is kept up to date with opportunities logged and followed up assiduously.
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Minimum of Two Years Proven Progressive Experience in Face-to-Face Business Development
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience in Using CRM, Ideally with Salesforce and Phocas/Sales-i but Not Essential
- Experience with the Sale of Consumable Items to B2B End Users is Essential
- Strong Business Development and Customer Support Skills with a Proven Track Record in Managing Clients and Winning Business
- Self-Driven and Self-Motivated Desire to Close the Deal and Get Results
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills to Develop and Nurture Customer Relations
- Excellent Negotiation Skills
- Strong Financial Management Skills and Clear Understanding of Margin Importance
