About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust. As a Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological therapy services to clients with anxiety and depression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to clients with anxiety and depression, using evidence-based models such as Counselling for Depression and Interpersonal Therapy.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide advice and consultation on clients' psychological care, and supervise trainee therapists and other professionals as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, including audit, policy, and research initiatives, and participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Recognised postgraduate-level training in a psychological therapy, such as Counselling or Psychotherapy.
  • Professional registration or accreditation with a relevant organisation, such as the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
  • Experience of working with clients with anxiety and depression, and a strong understanding of evidence-based therapies.
