Job Description

Database Administrator

Likewize is a leading tech Protection and support company dedicated to resolving over 250 million tech problems each year. We are committed to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to our clients/customers.

As a Database Administrator, you will be working cross-functionally to support producing quality reporting by maintaining the underlying data structures used by our quality and insights/reporting team. The role also involves in day to day administration of DB credentials, investigations into queries and proactively raise development requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop new MySQL databases, SQL queries and Stored Procedures
  • To evaluate new and existing systems and identify areas for improvement
  • To work with testers to ensure new functionality is working to specification
  • To participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives
  • To provide estimates and updates
  • To write and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

  • MySQL, Stored Procedures, SQL queries, database optimisation & Database Administration
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Jira
  • Minimum of two years in database administration with MySQL
