Yard Maintenance Controller

We are seeking a skilled Yard Maintenance Controller to oversee the loading and unloading of our fleet of HGV vehicles. This role involves daily inspections of FLT's, container handling, and ensuring containers are customer-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct daily inspections of FLT's and containers
  2. Assess and inspect containers for incoming and outgoing shipments
  3. Clean and prepare containers for customer delivery
  4. Load and unload container units
  5. Perform daily checks and maintenance tasks
  6. Deliver small containers to customers
  7. Report on container movement and inventory
  8. Travel to customer sites for container inspections
  9. Perform minor repairs on units as needed

Requirements:

  1. Full driving license holder
  2. Forklift truck license holder
  3. Ability to handle and maintain containers
  4. Experience working in a busy outdoor environment
  5. Self-motivated with good communication skills
  6. Ability to build relationships with team members and external parties
  7. Willingness to learn new skills

Work Hours:

  1. 40 hours per week, permanent contract
  2. 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (no weekend working)
