Job Title: Compliance and Transport Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our team at Ealing Council. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet, as well as maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize telematics data to analyze and report on driver behavior, with a focus on promoting safe driving practices.
  • Conduct pre and post-shift driver/vehicle gate checks to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with our HSEQ and Training Academy teams to onboard new drivers and manage the licensing and qualification checks of existing drivers.
  • Ensure that company policies, regulatory standards, and statutory requirements are up-to-date and fully compliant.
  • Take a proactive approach to analyzing transport systems, fuel management, and other related processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead a team environment that supports the delivery of high-quality service standards internally and externally.
  • Model good leadership and support supervisors and managers in transport-related matters.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders to understand local authority frameworks for procuring future vehicles and ground maintenance equipment.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in a transport management role, preferably at a supervisory or management level.
  • A full driver's license is required.
  • Annual leave entitlement of 24 days plus bank holidays.
