Job Title: Bank Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bank Cook to join our team at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust. As a Bank Cook, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality patient meal service in our hospitals and healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals for patients in accordance with dietary requirements and hospital policies.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, meeting the Trust's quality and safety standards.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure that meals are delivered to patients on time and to the required standard.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a catering or food service environment, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, including HACCP and food allergen management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to follow recipes and instructions.
