Electrical Construction Manager / Project Lead

A leading specialist M&E subcontracting company is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager / Project Lead to oversee the electrical installation of a major Energy for Waste project in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of up to 100 operatives and ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a background in complex construction projects, such as data centres, labs, and power stations. Experience in large-scale industrial projects and team management is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of up to 100 operatives
  2. Set daily installation targets and monitor progress
  3. Review drawings and identify best installation methods and design issues
  4. Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
  5. Coordinate with other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
  6. Develop and implement effective project management strategies

Requirements:

  • SMSTS certification
  • Experience in CMS, cabling, earthing, testing, and other electrical installation methods
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
