We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Systems Administrator to join our team in Luton. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our internal infrastructure and managed services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for server and network operations, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Commission and deploy new server and network hardware, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Maintain and update software applications, including email, proxy/web services, and security systems.
- Assist with routine maintenance processes, such as patching, software updates, and anti-virus maintenance.
- Manage workload and provide responses to end-users through an internal call management system.
- Provide technical support for other departments, including client services and service delivery teams.
- Ensure the completion of managed service scheduled tasks, as defined within service level agreements.
- Provide 3rd line assistance for high-priority issues, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
- Significant experience designing and configuring networks, including VLANs, routing, and switch configuration.
- Good experience of setting up and managing modern Hyper-V clusters, including switch embedded teaming and virtual networking.
- Experience of Office365 cloud configuration and management.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure configuration and management.
- Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory users, groups, and computers.
- Experience troubleshooting network issues and managing backup processes.
- Ability to work out of hours when necessary.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Experience of Powershell scripting.
- Experience creating network diagrams and other IT documentation.
- Understanding of ISO27001 security standards and operational guidelines.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting Group Policy.
- Experience of VMware vSphere management.
- Veeam Backup and Replication.
- Microsoft Sharepoint implementation and management.
- Experience of using ticketing systems.
- SAN and NAS maintenance.
- Juniper and Extreme Networks configuration experience.
