Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location: Somerset, UK

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Benefits + Generous Pension Scheme + Family Fee Discount

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our prestigious private school based in the heart of rural Somerset. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a vital role in managing our day-to-day finances, processing invoices, and supporting budgeting activities. This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Assistant with experience dealing with VAT to join our forward-thinking institution. You will have the chance to work closely with our finance team and school leadership to ensure the financial health and sustainability of our institution. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance, accounting, or a related field, with experience in a similar role. A Finance/Accounting Degree or similar (AAT etc) is also essential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day finances and accounting tasks.
  • Support with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A background in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Finance/Accounting Degree or similar (AAT etc).
