About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to fill the position of Acting Assistant Service Manager at Avenues Group. This role will involve supporting the Service Manager in delivering safe, high-quality services to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Service Manager in the recruitment, development, and management of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and experience to provide a safe and high-quality service.
  • Participate in the monitoring and management of service budgets to ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
  • Act as a practice leader, role-modeling Person-Centered Active Support approaches and PBS approaches to staff and others.
  • Assist the Service Manager in delivering the service to meet the needs and aspirations of individuals supported, service commissioners, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders, including individuals supported, staff, and external partners.
  • Good communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
  • PBS qualification desirable.
