About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Orthopaedic Scrub Team Leader to join our team at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of scrub practitioners in the operating theatre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritise daily activities to respond to changing circumstances and provide a seamless service to users.
  • Develop work plans and allocate work, consistent with departmental objectives, ensuring these are realistic and achievable.
  • Contribute to recruitment and retention using agreed methods and protocols for staffing and skill mix.
  • Objectively assess the work of multidisciplinary team members and provide clear constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the ongoing audit cycle to identify issues that arise during the perioperative phase.
  • Participate in direct care needs of the patient and provide expert knowledge of clinical specialties.
  • Monitor the standards of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
