About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an ICT Network Manager, working closely with a large Secondary school in Greenwich, London. As a key member of the school team, you will be responsible for delivering ICT Service Excellence to staff and pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the school's ICT systems to ensure a robust and stable platform for teaching and learning.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support, including 1st and 2nd line customer-facing and remote support.
  • Work with wider teams within Capita and the school to deliver ICT Service Excellence.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers and maintain a professional corporate image.
  • Ensure all Onsite Service Levels and Key Performance Indicators are met.
  • Adopt core ITIL disciplines, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Maintain relationships with 3rd party suppliers and educational Facilities Management teams.
  • Perform preventative maintenance of all contractual ICT Managed Service assets.
  • Ensure the delivery and maintenance of the standard desktop image.
  • Document and deliver pre-term ICT equipment testing plans.
  • Accountable for the updating and maintenance of the Onsite Engineering Knowledge Base toolset.
  • Work with educational key stakeholders to ensure ICT requirements are met and enhanced.
  • Support end-user training sessions and update desktop and website FAQs.
  • Manage and develop all aspects of the ICT system and jointly develop an ICT strategy for the school.
Requirements
  • Onsite support experience in an IT support role.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, including Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 products.
  • Commercial experience of Microsoft applications, including Office 2016/2019, Office 365, Google Classroom, and SCCM/MDT.
  • Detailed working knowledge of backup technologies and recovery processes.
  • An understanding of LAN/WLAN topologies in a support environment.
  • Proven track record within an On-Site, customer-facing role in an Educational environment.
