Facilities Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Technician to join our team at Scouts. As a key member of our facilities department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and estates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Maintenance Manager in providing a high standard of repair and maintenance across multiple trades.
  • Be proactive in fault finding, hazard reporting, and diagnosing faults.
  • Undertake compliance actions, monitoring, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive maintenance on building or estate-related systems and infrastructure.
  • Self-manage and prioritize workload, ensuring building access is arranged and materials are ordered, and job systems are updated as required.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with building fabric, plant, and equipment and monitor as required.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of building services and hot and cold piped systems.
  • Working knowledge of Statutory and Legislative requirements and Codes of Practice for relevant trade.
  • Current industry training such as legionella awareness, asbestos awareness, COSHH, H&S, Manual handling, working at height, abrasive wheels, fire marshal, and first aid.
  • Ability to fault find and complete appropriate repairs, modifications, and identify areas of improvement.
  • Ability to embrace digital systems work logging and reporting of work tasks.
  • Full driving license and happy to travel for work.
