Public Health Liaison Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Engagement Coordinator to play a critical role in promoting healthier lifestyles and building strong relationships with stakeholders in Dorset.
Responsibilities:- Deliver health promotion initiatives that raise awareness and service usage among target groups and under-represented communities.
- Represent the service at community events, engaging with diverse audiences and encouraging healthier lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with community groups, charities, and other organisations to develop and implement effective health promotion strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, adapting to their needs to maximise service reach.
Salary Information: The estimated hourly rate for this role is £12.80, reflecting the value of your contributions to our public health mission.
Requirements:- A Level 2 Understanding Health Improvement or equivalent qualification.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with GCSE English and Maths (A-C) as a minimum.
- Proven experience in health promotion initiatives, including working with community organisations and providing one-on-one support.
- Proficiency in IT, including Word, Excel, email, and database management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with flexibility to work between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend availability.
