**Job Description:**

We are looking for a Health and Wellbeing Liaison to join our team in Dorset. The successful candidate will have a passion for health and wellbeing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage diverse communities.

About the Role:

The Health and Wellbeing Liaison will be responsible for promoting LiveWell Dorset, building relationships with key stakeholders, and increasing service usage among target groups and under-represented communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with key stakeholder groups to promote LiveWell Dorset, raising awareness and service usage among target groups and under-represented communities.
  • Representing the service at community events, setting up stands and speaking directly to the public, encouraging healthier lifestyle choices.
  • Conducting virtual presentations and collaborating with community groups, charities, and other organisations.
  • Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders, adapting to different community needs to maximise service reach.

Requirements:

  • A Level 2 Understanding Health Improvement or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with GCSE English and Maths (A-C) as a minimum.
  • Proven experience in health promotion initiatives, including working with community organisations and providing one-on-one support.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Word, Excel, email, and database management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with flexibility to work between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend availability.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, based on a 37-hour week. We offer a company pension and referral programme, as well as flexible working hours and opportunities for autonomy and growth.
