About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Coach to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering PE sessions and coaching activities to students in a secondary school setting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering sports sessions and mentoring children and young adults. You will be confident in implementing the school sport programme effectively, promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles, and serving as a positive role model for pupils who may be disengaged with their studies.

About the School

The school is a provision for students with a range of needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, Aspergers Syndrome, speech and language difficulties, and severe social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all students.

The position is open to experienced and inexperienced candidates who have a strong passion for sports and education. Depending on performance, the school may consider extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

Requirements
  • Previous experience delivering sports sessions
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • GCSE Maths and English
