We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering full life cycle project solutions, providing timely and effective technical support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement complex systems, including hardware and software components, to meet customer specifications.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and user manuals, to ensure compliance with our quality assurance system.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, product hardware and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of systems throughout the development and production life cycle.
- Provide technical presentations and demonstrations to customers, colleagues, and partners, to showcase system capabilities and drive business growth.
- Work with the business development team to develop technical solutions and provide project costings based on customer requirements and specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, such as electrical, electronic, mechatronics, mechanical, or computer science.
- Proven experience in measurement and instrumentation design, with a strong understanding of instrumentation, control, and industrial automation.
- Demonstrable experience in requirements capture and writing technical proposals, with a focus on delivering successful project outcomes.
- Ability to debug and solve complex problems in a range of systems, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Experience with mainstream PLC brands, such as Siemens and Allen Bradley, is preferred but not essential.
We are looking for a results-focused, action-oriented individual with excellent written, oral, and presentation skills. You should be able to multitask, manage time, and prioritize effectively, with a strong problem-solving approach and creative thinking skills.
