About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join our team as a Senior Staff Nurse. As a key member of our inpatient ward team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and motivation to develop junior staff, while maintaining high professional standards and demonstrating commitment to staff development and patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in delivering clinical supervision to junior staff and acting as a shift lead. They will also have a proven track record of providing nurse leadership within a multidisciplinary team and ensuring the effective assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of care given to inpatient service users.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is committed to staff development and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical supervision to junior staff and act as a shift lead
  • Provide nurse leadership within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure the effective assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of care given to inpatient service users
  • Develop and implement meaningful activities for inpatient service users
  • Analyse the effectiveness of these activities and make recommendations for improvement
Person Specification
  • 1st level registered nurse with current NMC registration
  • Mentorship registered with NMC
  • High level knowledge and appreciation of a range of models of practice in social and health care
  • Experience of delivering CBT-based interventions
  • Knowledge and working experience of interventions and strategies that embrace social and health care needs
