About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join our team at bet365. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial part in the processing of payments to satisfy requirements and obligations within our Group.

You will be an integral part of our new centralized payments team, responsible for administering and processing a variety of outflows to satisfy our obligations to stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on assisting with the processing of over 30,000 payments each month, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of payment processing.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with the processing of payments, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Liaise with various banking partners to resolve payment queries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to confirm payment statuses and assist with accounts coding.
  • Support the development of payments processes, contributing to the improvement of our payment processing systems.
  • Complete client account reconciliations and investigate variances, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects relating to the payments function, working collaboratively with the finance team to drive process improvements.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks as and when required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
  • Studying towards AAT or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Experience in the processing of payments, with a strong understanding of payment processing systems and procedures.
  • Proactive and organized, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Excellent work ethic and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in Excel functions, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
