Job Title: Finance Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance professional to support and maintain the Treasury function of our Finance department on a 12-month limited term basis.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain our purchase system (Laserfiche) to ensure all invoices have an appropriate purchase order.
  • Run various weekly reports for external and internal use.
  • Prepare weekly payroll for the Payroll Manager.
  • Maintain and complete weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare daily banking entries and process once authorized.
  • Complete weekly/monthly reconciliations and time tracker reports.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Has a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Has excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Has a high attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Is experienced in using Microsoft packages.
  • Proficiency in Financial software packages such as Navision/SAP.
  • Has the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

The salary for this role is £24,000. Isle of Man Post Office employees benefit from free on-site parking and flexible working arrangements.
