Technical Spares Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Spares Coordinator to join our team at Orion Electrotech Rail. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing aftersales functions and delivering exceptional product experiences through quotations and engineering support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a spares role within an engineering environment and possess a degree standard or equivalent qualification. They will also be proficient in using key MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and able to interpret technical drawings and information using AutoCAD/Solid Edge or 3D software (SolidWorks or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with target key customers at all levels.
  • Generate and maintain reports to provide statistical data on enquiry and order quantities, margin, and other pertinent trends for future business generation.
  • Identify and review working practices to enhance and develop effective service processes.
  • Implement strategies for generating new aftersales leads through direct telephone calls, mailshots, E-shots, in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing Department.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure excellent customer service and understand their business needs.
  • Manage expectations, demands, and customer complaints as the Technical Spares Coordinator.
  • Offer customers access to: spare parts, service contracts, call-out/breakdown cover, obsolescence support.
  • Produce clear and accurate quotations using the business software system.
  • Ensure all orders are handled and processed promptly.
  • Foster service excellence across all customer interactions.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a spares role within an Engineering environment.
  • A team-oriented attitude.
  • Degree standard or equivalent qualification.
  • Full UK driver's license.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and information using AutoCAD/Solid Edge or 3D software (SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with key MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
