Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team in Maidstone. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing technical and complex projects from start to finish, providing a professional competent service with exemplary customer service.

About the Role
As a Building Surveyor, you will work alongside senior building surveyors, supporting them in managing property portfolios and transactions. Your specialist skills including building surveying, project management and budgetary control, will enable you to communicate and influence working with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also assist senior surveyors with inspections, prepare technical due diligence reports and conduct building pathology surveys.

Main Responsibilities
Key duties include:
  • Inspection of buildings and assisting senior surveyors with their workload.
  • Preparation of technical due diligence reports.
  • Conducting building pathology surveys and monitoring construction work.
  • Producing reports to clients and engaging on face-to-face value.
  • Travelling to appointments around the UK, mainly London and the South East.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have good knowledge of current building regulations and experience in dealing with party wall matters, dilapidations, defect diagnosis and contract administration. A strong understanding of budgetary control and contract management is essential. In addition, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build effective relationships with colleagues and clients. This role requires a self-motivated individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You must also have your own car for business use.

What We Offer
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £24.00 per hour, based on a 47,500k salary. CIS or PAYE payment options are available, and you must hold a UTR number for CIS payment. This is a temporary post, lasting between 4 to 12 weeks, working Monday to Friday.
