Midwife Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Midwife Specialist to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Midwife Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to women and their families across our acute sites. Your expertise will be invaluable in promoting safe and effective practice, enhancing women's experiences, and contributing to the delivery of operational efficiency within our service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide total midwifery care for high and low-risk mothers in various midwifery environments
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate maternity care over a 24-hour period
  • Facilitate the development of midwifery and non-midwifery staff, and act up in the absence of the team leader
  • Promote excellent multidisciplinary communication and teamwork

Requirements:

  • Registered Midwife with the NMC
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
