About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our thriving school. As a SEN teaching assistant, you will work closely with the teacher and other professionals to provide individualized support and create a stimulating learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the individual needs of children with SEN
  • Work collaboratively with the teacher and other professionals to identify gaps in children's learning
  • Deliver intervention sessions with small groups or 1:1 children
  • Immerse yourself in the classroom, creating a safe and inclusive environment
  • Promote the school's inclusive ethos

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or above relevant qualification
  • Experience supporting children or young adults with SEMH needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team, including working with parents
