Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Wood PLC. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical services in accordance with project and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and implement all applicable company and project policies, working practices, and procedures to ensure safe and high-quality mechanical work scope completion.

• Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack and job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings and sketches.

• Provide support to other trades and disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.

• Apply for relevant permits to work in order to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner.

• Undertake appropriate risk assessments to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.

Requirements

• 4-year apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ equivalent.

• City and Guilds (C&G) Mechanical Fitting or Assembly and NVQ Level 3 in a related trade.

• CCNSG Safety Passport.

• Wood mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.

• TMJI10 Training, must be current within the previous 12 months or current TMJI10.

Desirable

• Laser or conventional pump alignment.

• TMJI10 and 11 (to be completed as post-mobilisation training on a 3-yearly refresher).

Experience

• Essential: Demonstrable experience post-mechanical apprenticeship/training coupled with current relative experience.

• Desirable: Demonstrable experience in a mechanical fitting role, pump alignment role, preservation of rotating and static equipment, and pressure testing.
