Culinary Specialist

Aspens Services Ltd is a leading contract catering company specializing in school food. We combine our understanding of the education sector with our knowledge of food trends to create innovative and exciting culinary experiences in our kitchens.

We're committed to providing excellent care and services to our clients and children, which has contributed to our successful growth. To maintain this pace, we're seeking an experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team.

As a Culinary Specialist in one of our schools, you'll be responsible for preparing and delivering healthy, nutritious, and fun menus for students and staff. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality food and service, while showcasing your creativity and originality.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing menus using provided recipes
• Ensuring Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health and Safety compliance
• Producing hospitality services as per client requests
• Supervising the team
• Building relationships with clients and customers
• Providing exceptional customer service

We're looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools. You'll need:

• Knowledge of education catering, using fresh ingredients, and excellent craft skills
• Food Hygiene level 2 & 3 (further training available)
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices
• Computer literacy with experience using different systems
• Self-motivation, ability to use initiative, and a desire to learn and achieve while motivating others

We offer fantastic hours, working Monday to Friday during school term time, allowing for more time with friends and family. This role is:

• 20 hours per week, with no late nights
• Working 38 weeks per year, based around term time
• £12.50 per hour
