Cross-Border Deal Manager

A highly respected global law firm seeks a Senior Projects Associate to lead high-profile international transactions across energy, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors in London.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' PQE with substantial experience in project development and finance transactions. They will possess strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage and inspire junior team members.
As a Senior Associate, you will manage diverse projects including power purchase agreements, project development, joint ventures, and acquisition agreements. Your work will span cross-border deal teams, collaborating closely with clients and colleagues, and mentoring junior lawyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex commercial contracts and agreements.
- Managing cross-border transactions and coordinating with international offices to provide integrated legal services.
- Acting as primary client contact on major projects, offering strategic advice and addressing complex legal and commercial issues.
- Mentoring and supervising junior associates and trainees, providing guidance on technical and transactional matters.
- Conducting due diligence exercises, analyzing agreements, and summarizing transactional risks for clients.
- Contributing to business development initiatives, building relationships with clients, and identifying growth opportunities for the team.
- Driving knowledge sharing within the team and delivering sector-focused insights both internally and externally.
Requirements
- 5+ years' PQE with substantial experience in project development and finance transactions.
- Proven track record of handling complex commercial contracts, including power purchase agreements, joint ventures, and acquisition agreements.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with ability to manage and inspire junior team members.
- Advanced understanding of risks and issues involved in cross-border transactions, including pricing and commercial aspects of contracts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with client-focused and commercially driven mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver outstanding results within tight deadlines.
- International experience and/or additional language skills (preferred but not essential).
- Proactive, resourceful, and collaborative approach to working in a global, fast-paced environment.
Salary: £150,000 - £200,000 per annum.
