Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Bournemouth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children's learning and development, particularly those with additional learning needs, SEN, or behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the classroom, assisting with lesson planning, delivery, and assessment.
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils, providing additional support and guidance to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Manage behaviour effectively, using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised learning plans.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with additional learning needs, SEN, or behavioural challenges.
  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively and use initiative to support pupils.
  • Positive, patient, and nurturing attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and other professionals.
