Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Panel Beater to join our team at the John Lewis Partnership. As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they remain well-maintained and road-worthy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and replace damaged panels, using a range of techniques including welding, bonding, and filling.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and modifications to vehicles, in line with manufacturer specifications.
  • Work on a variety of vehicles, from 3.5 Tonne Delivery Vans to LGVs, Trailers, and HGVs.
  • Collaborate with our experienced technicians to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle Body Repair or NVQ/QVS equivalent qualification.
  • Previous working experience within a Panel Beater role.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A proven background in all aspects of panel beating, filling, fibreglassing, pin pulling, steel and aluminium MIG welding.
  • A knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and road-worthiness.

  • Competitive salary of up to £42,700 per annum, with opportunities for overtime.
  • 22 days paid holiday per year, increasing to 25 after 5-years service.
