The Role

We are seeking an experienced Youth Mental Health Specialist to join our residential care team, providing specialist therapeutic support to children and young people who require intensive care and intervention. As a leading provider of healthcare services for children and young people, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Practice: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with residential staff, clinical psychologists, and other professionals to develop and implement trauma-informed approaches, ensuring best practice and excellence in care delivery.
  • Training and Consultation: Design and deliver training programs for staff, focusing on reflective practice, child development, and mental health principles.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology, Systemic/Family Therapy, or Psychotherapy, registered with relevant professional bodies (HCPC/BPS/AFT/UKCP/ACP).
  • Experience: Proven track record of working with vulnerable children and young people, with significant experience in psychotherapy, systemic therapy, or psychological assessment and formulation.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and consultation skills, with the ability to exercise autonomous responsibility and make complex clinical judgments.

Salary: £45,754 - £62,407 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave, and access to continuing professional development opportunities.
