Dining Operations Coordinator

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a talented Dining Operations Coordinator to join our team at Willowbeck care home in Sheffield. As part of our catering team, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the kitchen, preparing and serving food to our residents, and developing menus that cater to their diverse dietary needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar position, ideally in leading a catering or kitchen team. You will be expected to maintain high standards of food hygiene, manage stock and purchases within an allocated budget, and lead and motivate your team members. Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
  2. Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse dietary needs of our residents, using fresh and seasonal ingredients whenever possible.
  3. Lead and motivate your team members, providing induction, training, and support as required.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports, including stock levels, sales data, and employee performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in a care or healthcare setting.
  2. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
  5. A Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification (or equivalent) and a valid DBS check.
