About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist independent school in Leicester. This is a full-time, ongoing role that requires a high level of support and adaptability.

The successful candidate will be working closely with a student who has complex and profound learning difficulties, providing individualized support and creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher with general tasks and provide individualized support to the student
  • Adapt to the needs of the student and provide a supportive learning environment
  • Work closely with other members of staff to provide a cohesive and effective support system

Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual needs
  • Establish positive rapport with students and staff
  • Passionate about making a difference in young people's lives
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check
