We are seeking a skilled Import Seafreight person to join our team at Freightserve recruitment. As a key member of our Freight Forwarding department, you will be responsible for handling Import Seafreight shipments from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling Import Seafreight shipments, including coordination with cross-trade shipments.
  • Transposing customs declaration information from documents and data sources into the customs brokerage system accurately.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all associated paperwork is completed and accurate.
  • Managing import quotas, customs tariffs, trade agreements, and HM Revenue and customs regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Being commercially aware of job costings and profitability, ensuring maximum profitability for the organisation.
  • Managing deadlines and handling difficult situations effectively.
  • Arranging deliveries prior to vessel arrival at port and booking with hauliers.
  • Completing customs formalities and ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
