About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Project Engineer to lead engineering delivery on large multidisciplinary projects. As a key member of our team, you will establish Engineering Management strategies, review documentation, and challenge technical choices across all disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Engineering Management plans for multisite Programs/Projects.
  • Review and challenge technical documentation, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Act as Technical Manager for Tenders, establishing customer requirements and developing cost and schedule for Engineering activities.
  • Lead and manage the engineering team on a project, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Support business development in Signalling Systems & Infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the Competence Manager to execute the IRSE licensing scheme.
  • Mentor, coach, and deliver seminars to support succession planning throughout the Engineering business.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading Engineering Delivery on large multidisciplinary projects.
  • Ability to develop System Specifications and Requirements.
  • Experience in developing engineering strategies and identifying technical risks.
  • Senior Engineering Manager (Projects) or Engineering Manager (Projects) IRSE licence.
  • Corporate membership of the IRSE with IEng or higher.
