Job Title: Chef/Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at British Garden Centres. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals to the highest standards.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working 39 hours per week, including weekends. You will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment, where you will be expected to work efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards
  • Manage food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are delivered to customers
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Monitor portion sizes and waste to minimize costs
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
  • Flexibility to work weekends and variable shifts
