Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team in Newry, Northern Ireland. As a key member of our health and safety department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations across various sites, including Madrid, Frankfurt, and North Holland.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the engineering or construction sector. A NEBOSH Certificate is essential, along with excellent organisational skills and a strong technical knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping up-to-date with changes to legislation.
  • Engage with staff and contractors on health and safety performance, supporting the delivery of objectives and targets.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and accident investigations, identifying areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in health and safety.
  • A NEBOSH Certificate and excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
