Investment Banking Associate Job Description

The Investment Banking Associate is a key role within Citigroup Inc.'s Institutional Banking division, responsible for providing strategic advisory services to clients in the capital markets. This position requires a strong understanding of financial transactions, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the execution of Citi's Investment Banking business activities, including client advisory services and financial analysis.
  • Contribute to building Citi's franchise by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor analysts, providing guidance and feedback to ensure their success in the role.
  • Assess risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Citi's policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in evaluating corporate transactions and structures, as well as creating financial analyses.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
