Discover Your Role in Oculoplastic Care
As an oculoplastic specialist at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust, you will play a vital part in delivering expert eye care services to patients. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise while working as part of a dynamic and supportive team.

About the Job
In this position, you will oversee the oculoplastic theatre diary, ensuring that all emergency cases are managed efficiently. You will also attend theatre and clinic sessions alongside consultants, providing subspecialty opinions to colleagues and contributing to research initiatives. Additionally, you will participate in the general on-call rota for ophthalmology, supporting the smooth operation of our services.

What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you must have completed your core curriculum training in ophthalmology and hold full GMC registration. You should also have a strong understanding of general ophthalmology, experience in managing general ophthalmic emergencies, and the ability to perform unsupervised cataract surgery. Furthermore, you should be able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary directorate structure and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
