Katherine Shields Private Staff Ltd is seeking an experienced and adaptable House Manager/Butler to join a prestigious household in Oxfordshire. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, managing a team of staff and ensuring the smooth running of a large, formal residence.

The family comprises three young children, five dogs, and additional properties abroad. They require an individual with meticulous attention to detail and a comfortable demeanor in a rural setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage household staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team dynamic.
  • Liaise effectively with other staff members, including Housekeepers, Chefs, and Estate workers, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain the property's impeccable standards, overseeing fine furniture, artwork, fabrics, and special finishes.
  • Provide exceptional hospitality by welcoming and caring for guests with utmost professionalism.
  • Set and lay tables with elegance and precision, ensuring a refined dining experience.
  • Deliver food and beverage service with grace and efficiency.
  • Manage provisioning for the household, ensuring adequate supplies and timely replenishment.
  • Maintain wardrobe organization and management for the family.
  • Collaborate with the Family Office to facilitate a smooth and efficient daily operation of the residence.
  • Execute driving errands as required, demonstrating confident driving skills.
  • Occasionally accompany the family on ad hoc travel arrangements.
Requirements:

Candidates must be either local to the area or willing to reside onsite with accommodation provided. A valid driver's license is essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

A competitive salary of £60,000 per annum is offered for live-in arrangements. A negotiable salary is available for live-out candidates.
