Support Worker Role

Location: Cross Houses

Salary: £85-£95 per day

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team and support students with severe and complex needs in a school environment. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with the teaching and healthcare teams to provide tailored care, including personal hygiene, feeding, mobility assistance, and medication administration as required. You will be responsible for assisting students with daily living tasks, monitoring their medical needs, and providing emotional support to ensure they feel safe and supported.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Assisting students with personal care, including toileting, changing, and feeding.
  • Monitoring and attending to medical needs, such as tube feeding and medication administration.
  • Providing emotional support and building positive relationships with students to foster a safe and happy learning environment.
  • Ensuring safeguarding and health and safety standards are maintained at all times.

Essential Requirements:

  • A caring and compassionate individual with a passion for working with children with complex needs.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with PMLD or in a healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or Teaching Support.
