Triage and Early Intervention Officer

About the Role:
This position is part of our team at Victim Support, a charity dedicated to providing specialist services to individuals affected by crime across England and Wales. We work towards a world where there are fewer victims but who have stronger rights, better support, and a real influence in the Criminal Justice System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to victims of crime, ensuring they have access to appropriate information and resources to recover from their experiences.
- Work as part of a team to identify the needs of service users and empower them to take control of their journey.
- Collaborate with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies to provide comprehensive support to victims.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and its impact on victims and witnesses.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and its impact on victims and witnesses.
- Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues and legislation.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively and sensitively.
