About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Patient Catering Supervisor to join our team at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of housekeepers and ensuring the smooth provision of food and drink services to patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Catering: Ensure the smooth provision of food and drink services to patients, with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Communication/Customer Service: Provide excellent communication and customer service skills to patients, guests, clinical staff, and work colleagues.
- Audits and Monitoring: Monitor food hygiene, health, and safety policies, and provide support for the housekeeping team.
- People Management: Effectively line manage a team of housekeepers, providing daily assistance, help with training, rostering, appraisals, and career development.

Person Specification
- Essential:
- Level 3 Food Safety Management
- HACCP Knowledge
- Knowledge of full range of work procedures, practices, and equipment for a catering service
- Desirable:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, Food Safety Standards, HACCP, Allergens, COSHH, and Infection Prevention strategies
