About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts and Operations Manager to join our team at Bell. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the administration and financial aspects of our operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement effective operational strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with our contracts team to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Monitor and control labor, subcontractors, plant, and materials to ensure projects meet our high standards.
  • Recruit, induct, and develop site-based staff, including apprentices, to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Provide regular feedback and reports to our branch manager to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to ensure high-quality products and services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of trade experience, preferably in a management role.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience in social housing or a related industry, preferably with a contractor.
  • Previous experience managing labor-based activities, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Good knowledge of the industry and a wide range of local contacts.
  • Knowledge of industry H&S.
  • GCSE grade C or above in 4 subjects, including Maths and English, or a C&G Advanced/Craft certificate and NVQ L2/3, HNC in Construction, or equivalent.
  • SMSTS Award.
  • CMI L3 Award, Principles of Management & Leadership.
  • Pitman Excel – Intermediate User.
  • CSCS card – Supervisor / Manager / Professionally qualified person.
