Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Direct Sourcing department in Denham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing components, products, and materials for machine parts, in accordance with organisational manufacturing and planned objectives.
You will work closely with counterparts across production planning, engineering, quality, and programme management functions to acquire products on time and delivered in accordance with contractual terms and production schedules, quality standards, and at price levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing allocated supplier relationships, including performance against KPI indicators
- Proactively identifying and managing risks
- Supporting customer meetings, bids, and reviews of supply chain strategy
- Running data analysis to support process management, investigating trends, and maintaining supplier data within SAP
- Participating in cross-functional continuous improvement projects and organisation
Requirements include:
- Sourcing experience supporting a production environment and familiarity with supply chain processes
- Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills with colleagues and suppliers
- Numerate, strong data analysis skills
- Seasoned knowledge of using Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of SAP or related MRP/ERP systems and import/export requirements
Advantageous experience in finding and agreeing supplier terms and purchasing goods and/or services with external suppliers.
