About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Band 6 nurse to join our team at the Wolverton Centre, a well-established Contraception, Sexual Health and HIV service based at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to clients with contraception and sexual health needs, ensuring a high standard of care and excellent client outcomes.
  • Lead and manage the nursing team, overseeing the results and partner notification process, and providing leadership and management to junior technicians and nursing staff.
  • Develop and implement effective service improvement initiatives, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance client care and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery, including hospital and community-based work.

We are located on a single site in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, and run several outpatient clinics in neighbouring areas.

Person Specification
  • DFSRH or equivalent qualification.
  • Implant trained - Faculty or equivalent.
  • Nurse prescriber.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Experience of audit, research, and service improvement.
  • Understanding of health promotion.
  • Clear understanding of current Sexual health.
Skills and Qualities
  • Good IT skills.
