About the Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity to join Lighthouse Electrical Services Direct Ltd as a full-time Electrical Engineer Apprentice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting experienced engineers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shadow experienced engineers to learn the skills and methods needed to complete the apprenticeship
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including full and part home re-wires, consumer unit upgrades, and fault finding and testing
  • Participate in the upgrade of electrical systems, including fittings, switches, cooker, hob, spotlights, socket and lighting extensions, and security/garden lighting
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and tidy work area in line with health and safety working practices

Requirements

  • Possess a GCSE in Maths at grade C or above
  • Be punctual and flexible with hours worked
  • Hold a valid driving license for site work and traveling to the Pyle training centre
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to both the job and the training

Training and Qualifications

  • Enrolled onto a level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
  • Undertake the following qualifications: Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance and Installation, Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technology, Essential Communication Skills, Essential Application of Number Skills, and Essential Digital Literacy Skills
